During November we continue to meet the child's developmental needs by offering use of real and natural objects.
Experiences include nut gathering from the trees in the play yard; learn about tools and gears as they make butter and relish; dramatic play with Indian Bunny "sweet dreams, Indian Bunny"; contributing to the Washington County food barrel; soup making after gathering carrots from our on-site garden; "Owl Babies" help them understand personal safety; the children play with natural "toys" made of wood..no plastic...physical play includes "leaf" dancing; a bear hunt obstacle course; and a strutting Mr. Turkey dance! They practice recalling information by learning to set a table and mannerly behaviors. An annual "feast" where all come together to share a little is an amazing and warm social experience! Raffi sings a pleasant "Thanks A Lot" song...and we are very thankful for all the wonderful, happy learning that goes on at Wee Wisdom Preschool during November.
